16-year-old Ymerali Ibraimi has gained his first ATP ranking point at the recent M25 Perth ITF Pro Circuit event. The achievement is significant for the Ibraimi who is currently the youngest Australian to win an ATP point.
The win will help the youngster start to transition into the pro circuit ranks, making it easier for acceptance into events.
It’s been a big year for the strong baseliner, making second round of the Australian Open juniors in January, being selected in the Junior Davis Cup team, achieved a high World junior ranking of#210, playing State Grade for Kooyong and now collecting his first ATP ranking.
“It was an incredible moment to win my first ATP singles point and I look forward to building on this next chapter” said Ibraimi after the Perth tournament.
